Parting Out. Great parts avilable, including those hard to find parts. We
have two complete vehicle available.
1978 Datsun 280Z 2+2 wt european style grab bar rear bumper. Body needs some
TLC but powertrain is mint
Includes new rear end & axles
4 speed tranny with centre force dual friction racing clutch Motor is is
excellent working order. You can burnt out from a dead stop in 3rd gear.
Awesome power and traction control.
Also have a second powerhause engine, and 4 speed tranny. A garage full of
hard to find items are also available, including Dash gauges, interior
parts, chrome moldings, signal lights, All Glass, rear hatchs, doors,
teardrops, radios, motor parts and it goes on and on.
Pictures are available upon request. All these parts are going dirt cheap,
as Im now looking into moving and I don’t want to move all these parts. So

Installation of Performance/Body Kit Upgrades?

I’m new to this whole 300ZX thing, and have acquired a ’90 N/A Cherry Red
Coupe. I was looking at Stillen for some performance and body kit upgrades.
My question is… who the heck installs them? I take it you go to a good
bodyshop for the body-work, but who can I trust to install the "under the
hood" stuff??

If it helps, I’m in the Bay Area, CA.

'90 300ZX rear hatch rattles

Anyone else experienced this problem? If so, did the problem pertain to
the latch mechanism or the weather stripping/rubber seals?

Thanks in advance for any assistance solving this rattle problem. It’s
driving me crazy. I know, I know–just crank up the tunes and let it go
on a 12 year old car. :-)

350z Understeer – what do they mean?

Hi I have read a few reviews of the 350z, they all comment on
understeer

is this good or bad, and what does it mean to an average driver like
myself? does it mean i am likely to spin out if i enter a corner too
quickly? would i be best to get an all-wheel-drive car like the WRX
instead?

Grinding gears in a 91 Integra 5spd.

Hi folks!

Quick question…

91 Integra Manual Transmission has stared to "grind." It’s not very audible
but I do feel it through the shifter. No problems at lower rpms. The
"grinding" gets worse when I shift at higher rpms. It usually happens when
I shift from…

1st to 2nd at >3,800 rpm;
2nd to 3rd at >3,500 rpm; and
4th to 5th at >3,000 rpm.

The car has 156,000 miles on it. I do not (think I) drive the car hard. I
shift at the above rpms about half the time I’m driving the car (whenever
I’m on the highway). The rest of the time I shift at lower rpms. I just
changed the tranny fluid with some Mobil 1 Synthetic MTF. The tranny used
to grind even before the fluid change.

Should I be concerned about the transmission?

Hello all,
I happen to have a question. Seeing as I cannot afford a new 350Z, I’ll
just have to give my current Z more love. heh heh.
Well, here’s my dilemma.
How can you tell if the vacuum assist device attached to the master cylinder
is faulty. I seem to be able to brake normally and the on the next pump (as
if edging at a light or slow creeping in stop and go traffic) the pedal just
goes away. I mean GONE-to the floor. Then 1-2 pumps, it’s hard again.
R & R’d front pads and rear shoes, bled lines and its still there. Master
cylinder doesn’t seem to be leaking…A suggestions or similar experience?
I’m stuck. Thank you!

One of the commercials before the movie started had a Nissan 350z speed
through streets in Prague, like in Getaway in Stockholm except it was
daytime, but I think it was a closed course. Is there any place I can
download this clip?

Just a note to say thanks for the direction. I was the master cylinder
leaking internally. Unfortunately, the one that was there was too pitted
inside to rebuild and I ended up replacing entire unit.
Now everything is new throughout except cup kits for caliper and rear
cylinders. That’s next within a coupla weeks.
