I am having trouble removing the steering wheel in a 84′ 300ZX      The
steering wheel is on so tight that it shears the threads off the puller
bolts.  I have tried penetrating oil, as well as torch heat.

any ideas?

I need to get the steering wheel off to replace the headlight switch.

I have a brand new turbo and wastegate. Is there any way to fit it without
removing the engine? It looks a very tight fit.

I have leather seats. can a portion of a seat be
repaired or replaced or does the whole seat have
to be recovered. The left panel of my drivers
seat is pretty scratched up and even ripped in
one spot. Is this an expensive repair job?

the 84-86 300 ZX cruise control really only fails in 2 areas (it is always
one
of these two things or both of them)

1. the cruise switch (the button you push in on the column to set the cruise
speed) is corroded or the tangs need to be re-bent

this can be taken apart and cleaned in 5 minutes, just remove the button
area & clean contacts with an eraser, then with alcohol) then rebend the
tangs for better contact

2. the brake and clutch pedals each have a bumper in the pedal shaft that
likes to fall out, these buttons actuate a switch similar to a brake light
switch.  the problem is the missing bumper, not the pedal switch.  both
bumpers must be intact & present (one on the brake pedal & one on the clutch
if it is a 5-speed) or else no cruise

Also, your headlight switch may need the cleaning procedure outlined above,
if wiggling fixes it, but for most of us, the whole switch body burns up
necessitating steering wheel removal.

Missed on an auction for Nissan dealer’s parts/breakdown microfiche for
a 1990 – 1992  300ZX.  Anyone have a source for the microfiche or the CD
ROM?  I would like to purchase or borrow in order to save to a CD ROM.
